Course Content
This interactive short course offers practical ideas for managing grief in the school setting following a death by suicide.
The course aims to help identify, understand and respond to potential grief reactions amongst the whole school community; provide ideas on how to best support staff, students, parents and families in the wider school community; foster discussion about appropriate ways to manage grief immediately following a death by suicide, as well as the weeks and months that follow; and provide guidance in how to have difficult conversations with students, staff and parents in the school community.
This course is valuable for anyone working in either the primary or secondary school setting.
Choose from one online session of 3.5 hours or a series of 1 hour late afternoon sessions.
